Jászai Mari Award-winning theatre director, performer, circus artist, and Director General of the National Circus Arts Centre and the Capital Circus of Budapest. He graduated from the Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College with a bachelor’s degree in educational management, from the University of Pannonia with a master’s degree in theatre studies, and from the University of Theatre, Cinema and Television with a master’s degree in theatre management.

Between 1995 and 2002 he was the head of European theatre affairs at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, between 2007 and 2015 he was Director of the Jókai Theatre in Békéscsaba. Since 2015 he is responsible for the development of the national circus arts strategy, supervising and guiding the renewal process of Hungarian circus arts. He was State Secretary for Culture from 2018 to 2022.

President of the Central European Circus Art Association (CECA), member of the board of the Hungarian Circus Directors Association and the European Circus Association (ECA), jury member of international circus competitions. Editor-in-chief of the Hungarian Theatre magazine Teátrum and the Theatre Studies Review. színházi magazin és a Színháztudományi Szemle folyóirat főszerkesztője.
