remain faithful to the ground
– is the end-of-year performance of the BA students in Contemporary Dance at the Budapest Circus Arts and Contemporary Dance College.
dance, again.
what moves us?
how does a dancing body think?
where does dance emerge from?
is it just dance?
what do dance students dance?
when is a dance complete?
Perhaps, always. Dance may arise from gesture, rhythm, imagination, relation, forces at play, or curiosity; sometimes simply from being present, attentive to the ground we stand on and move across. What appears as dance may also be research, play, composition, and communication, or a way of sensing where we stand and how we relate to the world around us.
A dance rarely finishes. It takes ground.
During the evening, the audience will see works created by the students, as well as a piece choreographed by Zsuzsa Rózsavölgyi.
We warmly welcome everyone who is curious about contemporary dance and interested in encountering our exploratory work that investigates different forms of performing arts.
