Earning a BA degree at the college combines practical skills with the development of artistic and analytical thinking. It prepares circus artists to perform independently with their own act or work collaboratively within a troupe. Graduates will be capable of creating new, original performances, but beyond technical expertise, they are expected to understand the artistic value and message-carrying potential of the skills they have mastered.

The fields of study and disciplines leading to the qualification include circus arts practice, general and specialized theory, which form the foundation of the program.

A circus artist has thorough knowledge of the fundamentals, history, and main genres of circus arts, as well as safety regulations and equipment use. They are also well-prepared in physical and mental conditioning, as well as creative writing and communication. Their skills include designing and performing innovative productions, assessing their own and others’ conditions, and identifying and managing challenges in the field of circus arts. They can participate in and plan complex projects, build a successful career, and communicate effectively in their native language and a foreign language as well.

The professional internship lasts at least four weeks and takes place at professional training sites. These include the institution’s own safe and well-equipped practice facilities for all circus genres, performances organized by the institution, and productions of professional circuses and circus ensembles.
