Our first collaborative year inside the CEEPUS network is thriving!

In the frame of our CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) network,
“Sharing Contemporary Dance Practices” , 12 students from four partner institutions joined the second-year students of our school for an intensive exchange program: the Creative Dance Practices! Each morning was dedicated to moving together attending ballet, rhythm and dance classes, allowing participants to support a physical foundation and attunement for each day and creating a shared working environment among the group.

In the afternoons, the participants took part in a workshop led by Dávid Somló and Imre Vass, focusing on the exploration of time as both a lived experience and a conceptual structure in performance. Through simple performative formats, the group experimented with different durations, ranging from very short actions to extended processes, while observing how these variations influence perception. The workshop combined physical exercises, creative tasks, and moments of theoretical reflection, offering participants practical tools for consciously composing time within artistic practice. The process encouraged improvisation, attention, and collaborative exploration.

At the end of the week, on Saturday, the students presented a public space performance based on the improvisational and creative tools developed during the workshop. This performance allowed participants to apply what they had learned in a real environment and to share the outcomes of their collaborative process with an audience.
