Milán Ujvári
teacher
In the early 2000s he studied classical ballet at the Hungarian Dance University, later he trained in modern and contemporary dance (Flying Low and Passing Through) and martial arts (Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) at international level. Since 2012, he has been teaching contemporary dance technique and improvisation at several institutions: the Hungarian Dance University, the University of Theatre and Film Arts, and the Budapest Circus Art and Contemporary Dance College. As a dancer, he has worked with various companies and artists such as Compagnie Pal Frenak, Cirque du Soleil, Krétakör Theatre, Hungarian National Theatre, Anna Réti, Claudio Stellato, Amos Ben-Tal, Rui Horta Stage Works, Nigel Charnock, Éva Duda, Rosana Hribar, and Gregor Lustek. He encourages his students to immerse themselves in the process of practice and to see movement as a holistic language through which they can express themselves socially, psychologically, and physically. He intends to see the human body as a collection of memories that can be a playground as well as a temple.
