Bratislava, 9–13. June 2026.
In keeping with tradition, after two years, the VSMU in Bratislava once again hosted the gathering of schools offering contemporary dance in higher education in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to workshops led by teachers and performances by the academies, this year’s festival program also included a reflective, discursive event titled Contextualise, Share, Discuss, led by Maja Hriešik, which focused on the performances and the unique characteristics of each educational program. During the five-day gathering, participants had the opportunity to get to know one another and exchange ideas in both formal and informal settings. In the evenings, the universities presented a selection of choreographies, including works by students as well as by teachers or guest choreographers. In addition to the workshops, these events offered an opportunity to learn about each institution’s artistic and pedagogical profiles.
