Budapest – Oslo exchange
In the 2025–2026 academic year, we continued our collaboration with the contemporary dance program at KHiO in Oslo. After last year’s Meduse, Zsuzsa Rózsavölgyi once again worked with students at both locations. This time, the 2nd-year contemporary dance students from KHIO alongside 2nd and 3rd-year contemporary dance students from BCDC were introduced to Thierry De Mey’s ‘Tools for Movement Composition’ and went on to create choreographies. The KHiO students were in Budapest from May 7–16, after which the two groups travelled together to Oslo, where they continued their joint rehearsals. The project was presented on May 22 at the KHiO studio theatre under the title Bomb Voyage. A BCDC’s students also performed excerpts from this showcase on the 1st of June at the MU Theatre under the title Rise 3.0.
