SUMMARY
TEACHERS’ EVALUATIONS
Hulnara Savenko – Modern jazz dance
Good stretching, flexible back, takes lessons responsibly, perceives information well, quickly and adequately. What you need to work on: foot eversion, foot muscle strength, hip eversion! Breathing work on contraction and relaxation!
Cortés Sebastián – Ballroom
Apart from having a good technical knowledge, Alisa’s strongest tool is her enthousiasm. The energy and dedication she puts into her studies can make her a great performer.
Angelina Prokhorova – Aerial ring and strap classes
General notes to the group:
Very talented and diligent group.
Personal notes:
Good stretching and flexibility! There is experience in the air! I recommend working on force.
Nagy Viktória – Afrobeat-modern fúzió
General notes to the group:
Fejes Kitty – Stage movement analysis
General notes to the group:
We have a very good team. Let’s continue to help each other in everything, know who’s strengths and weaknesses are and work on them not only separately, but also together!
Personal notes:
You lead the task entrusted to you nicely, let’s keep it up.
Hajagos László – akrobatika
General notes to the group:
MENTOR’S SUMMARY
23/24 2ND PERIOD
WORKPLAN
| My short-term plans |
| In general for 2nd period: 1. Build a stamina and ability to change different levels quickly without inconvenience 2. Treat my muscles well, recognise the body signals when I should rest and when I able to go through my limits 3. Feel joy and pleasure while dancing. Feel the movement and 4. Be on time for the lessons Afro dance – build a stamina and ability to change different levels – pay attention to my back and don’t throw it completely, keep some tension in the muscles Ballroom dances Rumba – pay attention to keep my feet on the ground, push the floor with them – going from one leg to another keeping them straight; don’t let the weight BETWEEN the legs – turn out my feet, make it as a habit Waltz – be more smooth – solve inconvenience in the head when I keep it right side – get along with the partner Stage movement – create a number including different styles of dance and circus requisite (united) Contemporary – to catch choreography quicker, working with the focus – feel the connections between parts of the body and use inertia in movements (what leads to reducing tension in the muscles) Modern – work on the proper technic (positions) and turns – watch out my feet – feel and breath even while strong technic movements! – working more with breathing Rhythm and folk dance – catch the rhythm quicker – while improvising start with the basics and not feel shame because of that – don’t take serious to heart some moods and words Akrobatik – start practicing more difficult elements and renew them from my memory – practice to make more clean a cartwheel without hands, handstands and rolls, makaku Aerial hoop/straps/silks – work on the strength (especially arms and shoulders) – make more combinations in turns – start practicing again on the silks(!) Individual work – create using a new information – observe and noticing my old patterns (impro) – remember my impro parts and use them to make a choreography |
| My long-term plans |
Unite dance, nutrition and soul To find a balance between dance (creativity, movement), nutrition (body and matter) and spirituality (soul, other worlds) to feel the fullness of life and continue the evolution of soul and body. Since up to now I have been recognizing them to a greater extent separately, creating internal conflicts. I danced overloading the body (which led to exhaustion and loss of the special feeling of presence and going into ordinarity), I was eating forgetting about spirituality, I went into spirituality forgetting about eating and dancing. Only by reuniting these three aspects I think one can maximize effectiveness, open a potential and growth. More concrete Body: anatomy, professional dance base, free dance(improvisation) and creativity, static and dynamic movements for focus (martial arts/handstand) Nutrition: nutritional education and different types of it Soul: retreats, seminars and spiritual meeting I want to travel over the world, get experience in these 3 directions. Share my knowledge and give workshops. Go to the contracts and make some financial pillow for investing into my own project. At first – invest into education and then – invest in own place which will give a passive income. Be and stay a free spirit |

| Group | Dear Class, unfortunately, due to the absences during the Warm-up classes in the last two periods, it was impossible to establish a regular routine. Therefore, I am unable to provide you with much feedback. When you were there, you did what you had to do. Alisa and Diana were frequently present and participated with interest and the goal of preparing themselves for their work ahead. Anna and Diana rarely managed to get there, unfortunately. I hope in the future you will understand the importance of having a holistic view of your dance practice, meaning that dance as a form of practice and knowledge must include various elements like health and body awareness, learning strategies, diverse training backgrounds, solid technical ground in different styles, artistic approaches and so on. All the classes you have in your schedule are contributing and adding to your development, they all have a role in the process of the program. Take them serious. Best, Tamás | ||
| Personal | Dear Alisa! From the group’s point of view, this was a period with lots of ups and downs. We had to deal with many absences. You missed some classes but mainly were present, and we also had some classes when only the two of us were there. Hence, we had the chance to delve into the details of the materials we were working with. I appreciate the work and effort you made. I would encourage you to continue examining the sensation of groundedness and weight as well as the possibilities of moving from/with gravity. Keep up the good work!

Jó munkát nektek a továbbiakban! | ||

| Group | Dear Group, It was a very short time for meeting, but it was a good situation to see each other from this side as well. Its hard to give proper feedbacks, because we only had 2 classes, and 3/4rd of the group was just on 1 class, also 7-10 other people was in the studio. I felt your focus and curiosity for the floorwork topic, but I saw its new for you and your body not really used to work on this field. It was a good tryout for you to realise why need to strengthen such parts, like deep squads, pushup positions from different angles and rotations on the vertical level. |

TEACHERS’ EVALUATIONS

| Group | In my opinion, this year has helped a lot to create a real community in the group. It has been a hard year, with serious challenges for both teachers and students, but I believe the group is heading a good direction. The way I see the students bonding together and helping each other is promising, and I think they do need this help individually as well to be able to further develop and overcome their own professional challenges – and being able to work as a group will also be essential in their work as a circus dancer in the future. | ||
| Personal | As I see it, Alisa is one of the most enthousiastic members of the group. Her creativity and dedication goes without any questioning, and her technical background is very good. She is a great performer as long as she can work within the technical context she is already most familiar with; I believe a strong focus on enrichening her stylistic repertoire will help her the most. She also needs to learn to deal with the stress of performing in any given situation; I believe that working on a reliable confidence and more focused concentration is the key to her future as a dancer. | ||

| Group | Overall, I was satisfied with the group’s work, especially in the second period. I could clearly see the development, the understanding of each other’s needs, I wish there was more strengthpower in the group to achieve more. In fairness, we had the last class together, also some extreme heat in the room, yet I believe that with more stamina, these conditions would have been taken easier. So we have something else to work on in the future. The creative work of individuals were great, the understanding of different styles got better day by day, however, a little more „homework”, preparation (memorizing the choreos) would have helped to achieve a faster or better result. Technically all of them have a correct base to work with, also a fast understanding of different perspectives, or requirements. | ||
| Personal | Evaluation: It is very easy to work with Alisa. She has a very professional work attitude, considering: be in time, preparation, on-class work. She takes her tasks seriously, I am very satisfied with her work. What can be better: She could melt-in a bit more means, that she leaves her comfort-zone considering the different styles. I could see if a certain style is something that is matching for her or not. Luckily there is a lot that is a perfect match for her, but it would be nice to try to get even more. My suggestion: Alisa should try to loose up a bit sometimes. Meaning: she needs to find the balance between a technical and emotional presentation. Sometimes I feel that she has more focus on the technical. |

| Group | Dear Students, First and foremost, I want to thank you for your hard work! Compared to our initial period working together, I’ve observed tremendous progress both in your attitude and technically. Although we only worked together for a short time, it was wonderful to see your individual journeys from where you started to where you are now. I aimed to assign grades based on each of your personal developments. I’d like to share some observations with you, which I believe are worth discussing. These comments are for everyone and are not intended to single anyone out. We’ve talked about how you all envision your future careers in this field, which is fantastic. However, at this stage, you are still in the learning phase. I want to add that, in my opinion, one is never truly „finished.” No matter where you are or what you do in life, you should always strive to improve, especially if you are fortunate enough to have discovered your passion. Being in the learning phase entails certain obligations, such as showing mutual respect by arriving on time for classes. I understand that you have a lot on your plates and are often tired. I also recognize that communication and language barriers can be challenging, and you likely have a thousand reasons why it feels difficult. Nevertheless, I ask you to make the most of these years. Don’t just get through the classes; try to bring out that extra effort that only you can muster. This must be something you genuinely want. I’m aware that you don’t like every style equally; some you prefer more than others, which is natural. It can also depend on the teacher. However, remember that every form of language or style you encounter, now or in the future, will add to your personality and style, making you richer for it. For me, the greatest artist is the one who can tackle any task with humility and strives to be even better. I’m not an advocate of punishment or yelling, and I don’t wish to change that. I believe in maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere in class because I believe that this approach can achieve our goals. It was marvelous to see you working on exam day, with the sparkle in your eyes. Personally, I missed seeing that level of effort during our regular classes. I know what it looks like when you give 100% because you’ve shown it to me. I was incredibly happy and, at the same time, frustrated, thinking how far you could have come if you had maintained that energy throughout (not to mention your conditioning). In conclusion, talent is a wonderful gift, but it means nothing without willpower, perseverance, and humility. So, go for it, girls! All the best in your future endeavors because the potential is within you!🙏 |
||
| Personal | Dear Alissa, Thank you for your humble work and attitude towards my classes. I appreciate that instead of making judgments, you asked questions and didn’t hesitate to express what was on your mind. Although we worked together briefly in the second phase, I felt your growth in both attention and technique. However, your performance during the exam surprised and frustrated me—where was all that energy you showed there until now? You’re a driving force in the group and possess a natural charm that isn’t forced. It was lovely to see how you express emotions, but you still tend to play it safe in class… which was precisely evident during the exam. The difference in your energy investment during the exam compared to your classwork was striking. In class, you often operate at half-speed when you could be going full throttle! You can’t afford to just go through the motions, especially with such talents! So, go for it, it was great working with you, and I hope you keep pushing yourself in the future! |

| Group | Dear Students, You achieved a good result at the end of the year, and finally everyone’s progress was visible. However, you can always improve and move on! The teachers classified everyone according to their own abilities. It is important to be aware of what you need to change personally in order to become a truly great dancer! We help you with this, with grades and descriptions. Please make your plans for the next year based on these! |
||
| Personal | Dear Alisa, You have great talents. But your energy often runs out. This may be because of your diet, but you may be scheduling your exercises incorrectly. You have to go to the wall several times, you have to push your own limits in order to increase your ability to perform! I recommend that you try to do the same choreography several times, so that your body recognizes when to accelerate and when to brake, just like how a car is driven. As long as you don’t have enough energy, you can1t bring in the high technical level that you are capable of. Your speed has improved a lot, you can now perform dynamic, jerky movements, that’s great! Watch how you can switch back to fluid soft movement in a short time! Practice how to retain the energy of your body’s expressiveness even when you perform slow, gentle movements. Your own taste is good on this topic and that’s important! I’m waiting for you back, because I believe that you can be more than a simple skilled dancer, but that requires persistence and immersion! Good job, thanks for your attention! |
